Innovations in Solutions – Are we Overlooking the Obvious Solution?

Innovations in Solutions – Are we Overlooking the Obvious Solution?

Ocular dryness, non-wetting, deposits or fogging lenses are all problems that can vex both patients and practitioners – and result in costly remakes in the lab. Having a better understanding of some of the nuances of solution design and performance can help at all stages of contact lens selection and prescribing. This talk will review recent advances in solution chemistry that can address lens deposition and wettability issues, as well as the important topic of lens disinfection. We will also share practical considerations from the viewpoint of a respected optometrist in the US with 40 years of practice experience.
